Olga Lozynska, Research Specialist
Olga got her MS degree in Biochemistry from Kiev State University (Ukraine). She has 13 years of experience in biomedical research field, with projects spanning from cell and developmental biology to physiology, laser capture micro-dissection (LCM) and drug discovery.
Ms. Lozynska has participated in many of the Center research projects and has been focusing on whole exome screening of patients and family members to identify novel genes and /or variations, as candidates for retinal gene augmentation therapy. Prior to joining the Bennett lab and Center she was working in Penn Center for Molecular Discovery (PCMD, UPENN) with the main focus on assay development, miniaturization and High Throughput Screening (HTS) with the ultimate goal to identify novel small molecules to probe disease mechanisms with the potential for drug discovery and development. Olga is passionate about gardening and in her spare time enjoys hiking, photography, swimming and jogging.
